Summers in Chincoteague require a screen porch! Enjoy hours outside talking around the hand-built table for ten, or just relaxing on the sofa. Three requests about the table: 1) Please don’t move the table. It is VERY heavy, and some sections of the top may not bear the weight of being carried well. 2) Please be careful about placing hot items on the table. Coffee cups are fine, but please use a hot pad or trivet if placing something from the stove on the table. 3) We’ve noticed the texture tends to hold food stuff. Please try to clean the table after use. If you want to be very kind, there is a scrub brush under the sink that is marked for cleaning the table. Just put a bit of warm, soapy water in a pan, then use the brush to scrub anything out of the texture pattern. Wipe the table off with paper towel.
The little side table was a quirky project. We cut down a number of trees that were detrimental to the house, and I thought the logs were too pretty not to try to do something with. Hopefully it will hold up over time.
